We understand that compatibility is important, and you want all of your creative tools to work well together. Here is the status of Extensis software compatibility.


Suitcase Fusion 7 & Suitcase TeamSync

We’re proud to announce the same-day release of Suitcase Fusion version 18.2 to coincide with the release of Adobe CC 2017. Our product teams have been working hard to nail same-day releases for Suitcase Fusion and TeamSync with these critical compatibility updates, so this is a great achievement for the team. This release includes all-new plug-ins that are compatible with Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.

If you already have Suitcase Fusion 7, you can use the Check for Updates feature to download the current version, or use the link below to download the installer separately.

Install Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 prior to installing the update and the compatible auto-activation plug-ins will automatically be installed. You may also use the Manage Plug-ins feature to install the plug-ins separately.

NOTE: only the current version of Suitcase Fusion has been updated. For complete compatibility information, see this page.


Universal Type Server

Version 6.1.2 includes compatibility for Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.

After updating to Adobe Creative Cloud 2017, download and run the current Universal Type Client installers below to install the new compatible plug-ins.

NOTE: If you install the Client update prior to Adobe CC 2017, you will need to re-run the Client installer after the CC update is completed.

NOTE: Only Universal Type Server 6 clients were updated for Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 compatibility. See the Client Compatibility page for details.

UPDATED: New Suitcase Fusion 5 and Universal Type Server 4 installers now available. More info below.

Adobe released new versions of their Creative Cloud applications on June 18, 2014. These applications run side-by-side with previous versions of their CC apps.

Extensis Font Manager Compatibility

On June 25th, we are proud to release updates to Suitcase Fusion 5 and the Universal Type Client 4 that now include plug-ins and in-application font panels for Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 applications.

Important Note about Adobe Photoshop CC 2014

Adobe implemented a new technology for building font panels within Photoshop CC 2014. We are building new panels that work with this new technology and expect to release an update to Suitcase Fusion 5 and the Universal Type Client this summer.

Font auto-activation for Photoshop CC 2014 is not affected, only the panel is delayed slightly.


Extensis Digital Asset Management Compatibility

There are currently no known issues with Extensis Portfolio cataloging file types created by Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 applications.

With Windows 8 recently released, many of you are probably itching to test out the new operating system from the fine folks in Redmond, Washington.

Font Management compatibility

For our font management applications, the single-user and client applications do not have any known issues and are compatible. Universal Type Server was designed to run using server hardware and software, so should not be run on Windows 8.

Digital Asset Management compatibility

Our digital asset management applications are not currently compatible with with Windows 8, though accessing assets using the Portfolio Server 10 Web Client using IE10 is supported.

WebINK compatibility

WebINK web fonts are supported across all major browser manufacturers, and there are no known issues with browsers running on Windows 8, including the newest browser Internet Explorer 10. We continually test with pre-release versions of all browsers to ensure maximum compatibility with each update.
