QuarkXPress 8 Box

We know it is key to many of your jobs. Whether you’ve upgraded yet or not, you want to know if Quark 8 will be supported. Yes. Of course, yes.

QuarkXPress 8 auto-activation plug-ins are coming in the next releases of both Universal Type Server and Suitcase Fusion. I can’t tell you precisely when, but I can say “Coming to a theater near you- Fall 2008”.

We’re working fast. I’ll keep you updated.

  1. Sweet blog. I never know what I am going to come across next. I think you should do more posting as you have some pretty intelligent stuff to say.

    I’ll be watching you 🙂

  2. Well Quark 8 is heeeeeere !

I have a test drive for 60 days, and why isn’t font reserve 3 working???????

It won’t let me turn it on

Please tell me you have a patch …… you will have a lot of pissed off people that are running the Quark 8 demo (see their website right now) and font reserve 3 is not working..

Reality check – I am under a deadline and need a font that is not turned on right now….. need to get into font reserve and turn it on.

Help, SOS, many thanks in advance

John – email me with the good news…. 🙂

  3. Hi John,

Font Reserve 3 is quite an old product and no longer under development. I recommend upgrading to Suitcase Fusion 2 which has plug-ins for Quark 8.

  4. Just to expand on that for folks who don’t know the history, Font Reserve 3 was essentially replaced by Suitcase Fusion (the name indicating that it was bringing in a bunch of Font Reserve features) back in January 2006. Suitcase Fusion 2 is the even-more-current successor to Font Reserve.

  5. Help. How do I reset the baseline grid for locking text? Used to be in the paragraph preferences—i am struggling.
