Rimmer Type Foundry logoThe latest endeavour from Richard Kegler of P22 has been creation of the nearly-completed documentary “Making Faces” about the metal type design process of Jim Rimmer (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/bcs-jim-rimmer-kept-the-art-of-printing-alive/article1547577/), one of the last people still making metal type right up until he passed away on January 8th at the age of 75. Rimmer was a graphic designer, letterpress printer, and an all-around fascinating character. I was pleased to be able to make the donation that pushed the documentary past its funding target a couple of months ago.

P22 also licenses the Rimmer Type Foundry fonts to WebINK, and we recently added a bunch of them: 49 fonts comprising eight families. Here are just a few of the faces you can find today:
