Font Snapshots from Suitcase Fusion 3
August 12th, 2010 by Jim Kidwell
Do you ever need to create a quick sample of how some text will look in a typeface? For example, if you have a client who is trying to decide which font she would like to use in her updated company logo, or on her new website? Sending off the fonts to your client isn’t legal, and even if it were, not all clients are technically savvy enough to know how to install a font, or to understand that not all fonts will work on all machines.
Suitcase Fusion 3 makes it easy and legal to send off a sample PNG file of any font in your font library with Font Snapshots.
Just enter your custom text using the QuickType preview.

Then drag the Font Snapshot icon to the desktop to create a PNG file of the preview.

The text is anti-aliased to a transparent background, so it can be use in Photoshop and other applications to layer with any other graphics that you might need.
